As usual, I bought the event deck and took it out for a spin.

I published over twenty lists for the new Standard in the last two weeks or so. One card that never made any of the lists, but was continuously in the back of my mind, is [scryfall]Psychic Intrusion[/scryfall].
Control is a relative term. We’re not going full UW No Wincons in the main deck Control here. Just decks that will rarely or ever take the beatdown role in.
Block Constructed is always a nice predictor of future Standard. What can we learn from Pro Tour Journey Into Nyx?
The spoilers have started in force, so we can go ahead and plan and perhaps brew some more.

I played in two Theros Block Constructed Grand Prix Trials today. One of the major things I learned is that [scryfall]Dakra Mystic[/scryfall] is not only fun, its very, very strong. At least in this environment.

Now that the set is finally on Gatherer and MagicCards.info (which I prefer due to more flexibility in search terms), doing some brewing is much easier. Its nice to be able to search for cards with certain characteristics.
