I was going to make a deck with Lonis with a flavor emphasis.
I was going to try to find a bunch of cryptids that are based on or resemble cryptids from our world, but then I read the description on Lonis and the main thing that came to mind was “WTF Wizards? What’s wrong with you?” That’s not a good place to start a deck.
Here’s a question: How many sources of green do you need in your 99 cards to make sure (100%) that you have at least one of them in your opening hand of 7? The answer: 94.
For the roleplayers out there, who aren’t aware of this yet, Wizards of the Coast has now been trying to find synergy between their two main brands: Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), and Magic: the Gathering (MtG or just Magic). This has now resulted in a set of Magic cards to be released later this month. I’m not a big fan of this development.
Note: I know that as of this writing the plugin that handles the card images is down, but I will try to fix when I have the time. Sorry about that.
Well, this is my kind of commander.
Around two years ago, we were introduced to this concept. This means that it had probably been around at least a couple of years within the company. How has this panned out?

I don’t actually know if I would be considered leftist by most, because my views don’t necessarily coincide with those of the stereotypical left leaning people. On the other hand, leftist thinking is also often misunderstood (also often on purpose), so maybe I am, maybe not, but here we go anyhow. Political compasses tend to place me in the lower left side somewhere between Pjotr Kropotkin and Emma Goldman. So, I guess I would be considered quite radical.
So, what I attempted to do here is to make a deck based on my understanding of the mythological Norse giants.
I thought I’d just play a few games between meetings and it didn’t quite work out as someone might hope.
Two ways to go here: A weird pest tribal or a graveyard deck… or a combination of the two.
