Block Constructed is always a nice predictor of future Standard. What can we learn from Pro Tour Journey Into Nyx?

Getting Ready for Rotation (2014), part 2
The spoilers have started in force, so we can go ahead and plan and perhaps brew some more.
The New Block Structure and Changes to the Magic Year
If you haven’t read MaRo’s article for today, you should probably before proceeding here.
The core of the issue: In the future, there will be two blocks of two sets each year, and they are dropping the Core Set. This also means there will be changes to rotation.
Getting Ready for Rotation (2014), part 1
No real need to do this quite this early, but since I’ve been thinking about this already, why not jot down some of the thoughts I’ve had.
Weakness of Netdecking
Last Sunday I was at the Helsinki WMCQ (World Magic Cup Qualifier). I didn’t do very well, but I did come up with something to write about, which is a small bonus.
One of my opponents, who was generally played much more precisely than is even necessary for a competitive tournament and asked stopped the game a couple of times to ask judges very involved questions on pretty simple situations, and didn’t want me to hear those questions.
There’s nothing wrong with that. Just felt a bit too much, as I am trying to have fun in these events, despite their competitive nature.
What actually gave me something to write about was that when it was time to sideboard, he pulled out a folder with pages upon pages of notes on different matchups.
Standard Deck Time: Monoblue Artifacts
This deck would probably be better with some red in it. Red would give you [scryfall]Shrapnel Blast[/scryfall], but we can do without.
My Favorite Decks from the Pro Tour M15
Not necessarily the best, but a bunch of decks I found the most fascinating at the tournament.
Khans of Tarkir: The First Spoiler (and a Couple of Words on Commander 2014)
San Diego ComicCon is going on right now, and (this year) it means a first look at three new products. There was the Commander 2014, including Teferi’s planeswalker version, which carries a line at the end letting you play him as a commander, and several sweepers from the From the Vaults: Annihilation (although no [scryfall]Damnation[/scryfall] thusfar, which I would have thought to be a good selling point for the set), and a couple of cards from the next Duel Deck, including this fellow:
Zurgo is also the face for Khans of Tarkir, and included in that set as well.
Magic Core Set 2015 Brews
Thusfar, not that many ideas, but some.
Card Spotlight: The Beauty of Dakra Mystic
I played in two Theros Block Constructed Grand Prix Trials today. One of the major things I learned is that [scryfall]Dakra Mystic[/scryfall] is not only fun, its very, very strong. At least in this environment.
