Although red might seem like a creature color, its actually a spell color, with the least amount of creatures just after blue. Right now there’s 24 red creatures in the cube, so I can’t add very many. Probably six, which would leave me with 30. That sound about right. I want some removal and a few sweet red cards in the way only red can be sweet.

Building My Own Cube, pt. 15 – Black
Black currently has 24 creatures and the curve is a bit awkward. However, fixing it might be hard, because there are creatures with Delve in the cube. Black’s thing is removal, so the cube probably needs some of that. Probably some that can deal with gods as well as cheaper, easier to use stuff.
Building My Own Cube, pt. 14 – Blue
There’s only 20 blue creatures in the cube, which sounds roughly right. Blue is supposed to be a spell color (in fact, the most spell intensive), so this is good. The curve is little lacking, but blue isn’t the kind of color that really needs one. I’ll try to fix it, though. The color also needs one or two cards in the latter part of the curve.
Otherwise, counters, card draw and maybe a trick or two.
Atarka Red Brew
A week back Josh Utter-Leyton made 9th place at the MOCS (Magic Online Championship Series) with a different take on Atarka Red. This started me thinking.
Building My Own Cube, pt. 13 – White
About two thirds of the white cards thusfar are creatures, which is a tad more than in normal sets, and their curve is pretty good. Now reason to mess with that. Maybe around ten of these should be creatures and maybe with a somewhat higher curve than before. On the other hand, there isn’t much removal, so I should emphasize that.
Building My Own Cube, pt. 12 – Hybrid, Lands, Artifacts, Looking Back and What Now?
At this point, I have 225 cards in the cube. All the Gods have been taken care of (for now), so its time to move on to other stuff.

My Favorite Battle for Zendikar Block Cards (Top 10)
That time again… Strange list this time around. There’s a couple of cards I haven’t even played, but I still like very much.
