Or 5-color mythics, if you prefer.
Last night we gathered together to try out the new Magic the Gathering pre-constructed Commander decks. Four players, four decks and about four hours of fun! In this post I will be summarising our experiences on the playability of the pre-constructed decks and share our initial feeling about how it all went.
Of course, people will try to build control decks early on, which is actually a bit problematic, because building a control deck requires you to know what you have to answer. You can’t really do that before the format has taken some form. Another key question is what you can use as your win condition. Still, lets see what we can do.
Today’s the release and as currently unemployed, I’ve had the time to think about what to play. The ideas are pretty endless, but the problem is that I won’t have access to everything today, so I’ve used what I have been able to trade for (and I’ll actually get some of the cards I’ve bought later today, because it pays to be close to a professional seller).
So, after a lot of consideration, I decided to have a test run with Goblin Dark-Dwellers.
Court hasn’t been in session for a while, so I guess its time.
