That’s the real name. Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person. The original name is actually Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant, but despite my ability to remember movie names in their original language, this one I couldn’t. Just too long.
It wasn’t admittedly that much of a disappointment, but simply because the premise wasn’t very promising.
Spooooiiiileeerrrsssss!!! Nothing major actually.
It’s been over two years since the last time I wrote one of these, but I feel I have to talk about this one.
Yes, I did actively save this to be the last movie I do in this series. If you have never seen it, you might not understand why, but I also bet there’s plenty of readers who are nodding right now in agreement, because this movie is something else.
So, it has finally come to this… Although, I don’t think this is an actual horror comedy, but we’ll get to that.
According to Kevin Bacon, at some point of his career, he called this the most fun he had had making a movie. It does have that kind of a feel. There is another story where he practically broke down about the idea of making such a movie he saw as a career low at the time. He went later on to do a TV series called I Love Dick as the titular character, so that might not have been the last time he felt that way. However, I do think Tremors is a good movie and definitely something to be proud of despite the creature-feature premise.
Sometimes independent movies are truly creative, because they need to be to stand out. At other times they just follow every cliché in a futile attempt to find an audience.
Not the kind of movie I usually actively seek out, but I actually do like it.
Oh, how horrible modern life is.
