Actually, not maybe quite as much Madness as simply just discarding stuff. And a red aggro deck, with a side of green.
My major problem with Arlinn Kord has been the lack of GR five drops that have some sort of evasion, or semi-evasion such as trample. So, maybe I’ll skip a step and go straight for the six drops and how about this one:
I didn’t even realize it was legal, but it was reprinted in Origins as one of the cards in the beginner packages and is therefore Standard legal. I know it has the problem of not doing anything when it first hits the board, but with Arlinn, it does at least one thing: hits very, very fast and hard. 10/10 with trample, vigilance and haste for six mana seems like a fine bargain to me.
Here’s a nice casual favorite, with tournament potential. With less colors in most decks, Dromoka’s Command will likely see less play, and I don’t see that good of a reason to play GW (there are some nice looking lists, but seems underwhelming). I might be tragically wrong here and maybe there still exists a nice Megamorph deck out there, but regardless, why not try Assault Formation with Goldnight Castigator?
Although decks are anything but straight-forward these days, I’m planning on doing just that here.
