There seems to a lot of interest in the format, as many cards have seen prices surges and there’s a lot of discussion. So, I’m just throwing a few more ideas out there.

Pioneering, pt. 2 (Pioneer Brews)
Some more ideas on how to approach Pioneer differently.
Pioneering (Brewing for Pioneer)
Ah, a new format. Well, sort of. It’s quite obvious that the first decks out there will be strong decks from Standards past or light versions of Modern decks. Like Rally or Saheeli Cat. I’m not going that route.
EDH Deck Time – Updating Kadena
Morphs are a favored archetype of mine. I just love them. The imbalance of information is fun for me. Sure, that also has a downside as that often means that you are the target.
Anyhow, before Kadena, it was hard to find a good commander for the deck. Sure, we had [scryfall]Ixidor, Reality Sculptor[/scryfall], but that definitely had limitations as a monocolored general. I was hoping for a Simic one, but they gave me a Sultai. As much as I like Sultai, I do wish they would limit the colors, as blue and green were the big morph colors on Tarkir, even if all colors had them.
My Feelings on Judge Academy
So, there’s been some information trickling on this. If you don’t know, the age old Judge Program is in the process of being taken down in lieu of Judge Academy, a business, which can now charge people for being a judge.
The Many Problems with Fry
Melissa DeTora wrote about [scryfall]Fry[/scryfall] in her M-Files series of articles.
Maximizing the Value from Scrying and Drawing
You hear this question from new(ish) players every once in a while: Why is Preordain
banned in Modern, but not Serum Visions
? Sure, they are close, but they are not the same. That ordering changes the card quite a bit. Also, they have to draw the line somewhere. [Note: Preordain has since been unbanned in Modern.]

Okay, so if Preordain
is stronger than Serum Visions
, does this mean you should always scry first, if you have the opportunity to choose? Well, that depends.
EDH Deck Time: Yarok and his Pals
So, [scryfall]Yarok, the Desecrated[/scryfall]… a card made for the fans of [scryfall]Panharmonicon[/scryfall]. Personally, I haven’t been that keen on breaking that particular card, but in the context of our meta, where wraths are plentiful, I would rather go for [scryfall]Mulldrifter[/scryfall]s than Baneslayers. (You can read more on this here.)
OF course, it would be easy to just throw a bunch of creatures with ETB-abilities into the deck, but I decided to go with a theme. I mean Yarok happens to be of a specific type. Elementals it is (even though horrors does tickle me as a theme, but there aren’t that many of them as of yet).
The Problem With Hatecards in MtG
We got Grafdigger's Cage
back. Is it enough? Not really.
Sketching Decks for the Ravnica Constructed
There’s a new event that started today on Magic Arena. The rules: You need to build a deck with cards from the three latest Ravnica sets with [scryfall]Gates Ablaze[/scryfall] banned.
