Last Saturday, I was at a PPTQ. I did pretty well, considering, making the top 8, but that isn’t that big of a deal with a field of 33. However, I could have done much better.

Fate Reforged Brews, pt. 9 – Atarka
Actually, this is more about [scryfall]Xenagos, God of Revels[/scryfall], but since that’s an old card, I’m not going to bring him up in the heading.
Fate Reforged Brews, pt. 8 – Return of the Blue Devotion
[scryfall]Cloudform[/scryfall] seems innocuous enough. A 2/2 protected flier for 3. Not really constructed playable, I guess. Unless, of course, you want the devotion. Maybe in some situations, it would be good to have a [scryfall]Master of Waves[/scryfall] with hexproof, although in that case you don’t get the tokens, of course, but if another Master brought in the tokens, this one could keep them alive.
Fate Reforged Brews, pt. 7 – UBx Control with Crux of Fate
If UB control is a thing, then why not Sultai or Grixis? UB is going to be strong anyhow, with the addition of [scryfall]Crux of Fate[/scryfall], and it can help here as well.
Fate Reforged Brews, pt. 6 – Humble Defector
[scryfall]Humble Defector[/scryfall] is a card you know can’t be that good, but you just wish you could find a way to use it profitably.

… and maybe there is.
Fate Reforged Brews, pt. 4 – Warden of the First Tree

A 1/1 for 1. Not that good generally, but there are obvious historical comparisons.
Standard Deck Time: Indulgent Cruise
Maybe Fateful Cruise? I don’t know. Its black, with a splash of blue.
My GP Experience (GP Stockholm ’14)
Not my first Grand Prix (fourth, actually), but I thought I’d share what happened this time around just in case you’re thinking about going to one.
My Favorite Decks from Pro Tour Khans of Tarkir
Sadly, no Conley Woods concontion this time around. He didn’t do very well. I guess the list would be available somewhere, and I bet its interesting, but from what I heard, the land base was just less than 20 mountains, which would seem like some sort of monored heroic deck.
But plenty of great stuff around.
Khans of Tarkir Event Deck Review
As usual, I bought the event deck and took it out for a spin.
