Ropecon 2015 Photos

Here is the gallery for other-than-cosplay photos/miniatures I took at Ropecon 2015. As always if you find an image of yourself you do not wish to see online, let me know and I either remove the picture or blur you out (if you are on the background).

Big thanks for all who let me take their picture!

If you like to use these in social media, feel free. I’d appreciate if you give me credit and if you care to drop a link here it would be awesome! If you want your own picture in bigger size contact me and I can send it to you (with even some retouching if I find the time).

(Yes, this information is copy/paste. I’m still too tired to care.) Continue reading

Going to Ropecon?

This year’s theme for Ropecon is “journey” and as I’ll travel from Tampere to Helsinki for this event I thought I could come up with some things to pass the time during that journey. Hello Vietnam! or trying out the Regiment

hellovietnamLast Wednesday we went to a family cabin of mine with the plan for alcohol, sauna and games. Good times!

I had originally thought of hosting something of a Kaiju-themed evening with King of Tokio and an AWhack called Monster Force Terra by James Mullen. As I was feeling a bit sick at the morning I decided to take The Regiment hack by John Harper instead as I knew it would more or less run itself with the guys I was going to the cabin anyway.

It Must Be Winter

Living in Finland makes our yearly gaming cycle quite interesting. During summer we have lots of time but it spend mostly on other things at the cost of gaming. We tend to drift towards random gaming of oneshots, Magic and board games since the group we can get together is different each time.

But now it is winter and the time for campaigns.

It think that winter as the fuel of longer rpg campaigns comes with the free time that we had while we where studying. Evenings are dark, it’s usually freaking cold and the weather is bad. Not that we would take part to any outdoor activities anyway but at least during winter we have an excuse. Continue reading
