We’ve heard it plenty of times: Wizards doesn’t want to ban certain cards, because people have a lot of money invested in their decks and they don’t want to ruin that.
Well, that’s kind of absurd.
Living in Europe, I have the pleasure of being able to use MagicCardMarket or MCM. Its a nice way to get the single cards you need from a centralized service (and not having to take part in the travesty that is Puca Trade). One of the fun things about the service (pretty much like any good service on in the Internet), you can go through your whole history of purchases.
A friend of mine offered to borrow me a deck if I wanted to try out Legacy, so I did. Went pretty well. 3-1. Better than I’ve done in Standard recently (although that’s in part because I’ve been mostly just using decks I haven’t thought of as good enough previously, but decided I wanted to try out anyway before the rotation).
I heard this line from a Legacy player again yesterday. Its not strictly true. Well, actually, its not true at all.
