I don’t think I’ve seen small penis prosthetics in any other movie. That’s something.

Aki Vs. Evil: Gremlins (and little bit on the sequel)
Just found out that there’s actually a Gremlins series now.
Tells the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing met the young Mogwai called Gizmo. Along with a teenage street thief named Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering, and sometimes battling, colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. On their quest to return Gizmo to his family and uncover a legendary treasure, they are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.
What the fu…? I’ll just stick with the movies, thank you.
Aki Vs. Evil: Witching & Bitching (Las brujas de Zugarramurdi)
This is one of those cases, where the movie is originally in Spanish and the DVD version I have is the German release, with optional Dutch subtitles. I don’t speak any of these languages, but I do know enough of each language that I can get by on context clues. I still do find it funny that a cell phone is ‘Handy’ in German.
Aki Vs. Evil: Grabbers
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do this, but I found a compelling reason in Ryan Hollinger’s point of view.
Aki Vs. Evil – Evil Dead II
Part of me wanted to leave this as the last movie on the list just because of the iconic nature of this movie, especially within this genre, but after going through all the options, I came up with one I would much rather leave until the end, even if that movie has reached only a fraction of the viewers this one has and is not very known in general, but we’ll get back to that.
Aki Vs. Evil – Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Delamore)
Oh, wow. One of the many production companies for this movie is Silvio Berlusconi Communications, which I can pretty safely assume is a company owned by Silvio Berlusconi, a long time prime minister of Italy with a – let’s say – problematic career.
Aki Vs. Evil – Teeth
I don’t really like it when movies feel the need to explain everything.
Aki Vs. Evil – The Toxic Avenger and Father’s Day
In a previous instalment I discussed directors, who’s work I might not be the biggest fan of, but I do appreciate their existence. I could have easily added Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman (who co-directed this under a pseudonym) to the list.
Aki Vs. Evil – Housebound
I don’t know what the situation is exactly currently, but after Lord of the Rings, there was a surge of movies, for better or worse, being made or simply worked on in New Zealand. This does also mean that there are now quite a few professionals, so they can do projects like this.
Aki Vs. Evil – Basket Case and Bad Biology
Ah, Frank Henenlotter. The director we deserve, but not the one we need. Or something.
