1) Currently, the available lands provide a better manabase for shards than wedges.
2) I want to play [scryfall]Vraska, Relic Seeker[/scryfall]
3) I think [scryfall]Unlicensed Disintegration[/scryfall] is going to be pretty strong in a world full of dinosaurs
So, Jund it is.
The easy part: I want to play these cards:
Not necessarily a full set of Vraska, but otherwise probably. We just need to flesh out the rest of the deck somehow. Let’s look at some possible choices for fives.
What do they bring to the table? [scryfall]Glorybringer[/scryfall] is very strong, but might be outclassed by dinosaurs. [scryfall]Regisaur Alpha[/scryfall] is also strong, but might not be that good without other dinosaurs to give haste to. [scryfall]Skysovereign, Consul Flagship[/scryfall] requires a critical mass of creatures to function properly, so maybe one. [scryfall]The Scorpion God[/scryfall] has the clear benefit of being able to block [scryfall]Carnage Tyrant[/scryfall] beneficially, so at least one of those. [scryfall]Nissa, Vital Force[/scryfall] is a card advantage engine. Maybe of mix?
We need a lot of mana sources here, but I’m not sure what the balance is going to be. Can we afford to play [scryfall]Attune with Aether[/scryfall] or [scryfall]Channeler Initiate[/scryfall]? I would go with the latter. Playing a turn three Chandra is nice as well.
The problem with this brewing is that this isn’t a very proactive deck and in order to be reactive, you need to understand the metagame, which we can’t really do at this point. However, I would play this as of now and I’m tilting this to work against dinosaur-based decks a bit, even thought there’s plenty of removal for other things as well:
4 Channeler Initiate
2 Ripjaw Raptor
2 The Scorpion God
4 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
1 Nissa, Vital Force
3 Vraska, Relic Seeker
1 Skysovereign, Consul Flagship
4 Fatal Push
4 Unlicensed Disintegration
1 Trial of Ambition
4 Dragonskull Summit
4 Rootbound Crag
4 Canyon Slough
4 Sheltered Thicket
4 Evolving Wilds
