Drafts and Trades

I have done a couple of drafts thusfar. Neither went very well, but I did manage to draft a [scryfall]Smothering Abomination[/scryfall] and a [scryfall]From Beyond[/scryfall], which went into the deck. I took out [scryfall]Tasigur, the Golden Fang[/scryfall] and [scryfall]Warden of the First Tree[/scryfall], because I wanted to put them into a trade binder. I also drafted a [scryfall]Shambling Vent[/scryfall], which is of course pretty good currency.

I did play something other than this deck during two FNMs already. The thing is, its very hard to trade for commons. I had to ask around and hope someone would remember to bring something I was interested in. Gladly, one of the regulars did remember and I was able to trade for a pair of [scryfall]Nantuko Husk[/scryfall]s and [scryfall]Zulaport Cutthroat[/scryfall]s. Furthermore, I got – in exchange for the aforementioned Vent – a pair of [scryfall]Corpseweft[/scryfall], a [scryfall]Merciless Executioner[/scryfall], three [scryfall]Grim Haruspex[/scryfall]es (or whatever the plural of that is), a [scryfall]Bloodsoaked Champion[/scryfall] and an [scryfall]Evolutionary Leap[/scryfall].

I was also able to do another trade. I traded the Tasigur for a [scryfall]Whisperwood Elemental[/scryfall], a pair of [scryfall]Llanowar Wastes[/scryfall]’s and a whole set of [scryfall]Carrier Thrall[/scryfall]s, which means I’m well on my way.

I’m thinking currently, that with these additions, the list should look something like this:

Sadly, I didn’t get all the cards quite yet, so I can’t play this tomorrow at Game Day. Neither can I play it next FNM, because I’m judging a Modern Tournament. Still, I haven’t given up on this quite yet.
