Ixalan Brews, pt. 7 – Monoblack Improvise

There was a deck with various synergies pretty much all over the place I used to play. It loses some cards in rotation, but much of it’s core is still intact.

I’m not sure where I got this from. It’s not necessarily very good, but it’s fun to play. Actually, it wasn’t that bad either. It was a nice metagame choice, but not necessarily good against everything.

I did some small changes based on what cards I had available at the time, but not much. What are we losing in the rotation?

Westvale AbbeyDrana, Liberator of MalakirKalitas, Traitor of GhetGrasp of Darkness

That does leave quite a whole in the deck, especially since we lose most of a tribe, which might mean we want to lose the Gifted Aetherborns as well. So, what could we use here to fill the holes? Maybe we could use our Gifted friend as an Aetherborn rather than a Vampire. This would give us access to…

Vengeful RebelSyndicate TraffickerYahenni, Undying Partisan

Also, this would make Weaponcraft Enthusiast better.

I know this doesn’t really make this an Ixalan deck, but it’s Ixalan Standard, even if all the cards are from Kaladesh block. It might be a Kaladesh block deck. I’d also put in a couple of Renegade Maps to make the revolt better and help with the demon.
