War of the Spark Brews, pt. 2 – Sultai Zombies

Being a fan of Liliana, whenever there is a new one I will try to brew with it. This time, however, I’ll go back a bit and try to find something to do with [scryfall]Liliana, Untouched by Death[/scryfall]. Not to worry, we’ll get to the Dreadhorde General in time.

Why Sultai, the straw man I’m coming up with right now might ask? Well, mostly because [scryfall]Molderhulk[/scryfall] feels pretty good with this particular Liliana. And other Lilianas as well, but those are not available to us in the current standard.

[scryfall]Storrev, Devkarin Lich[/scryfall] is another card that works particularly well here. If your opponent is not decent enough to kill something for you, than Liliana will provide.

“Okay, so why blue?”, asks the straw man again. In this case the straw man apparently isn’t aware of how the eternals work. This does leave out red, but we can live with that. Besides, Bolas wasn’t able to provide us with a Zombie Hazoret.

We are not fully utilizing the blue here, but it does give us access to various sideboard options. It would actually be arguably better if we just lost the blue since that would give us access to various lands, like [scryfall]Memorial to Folly[/scryfall], but let’s go with this.
