I was looking forward to this, but there hasn’t been that many good cards for this deck. It’s losing [scryfall]Soul-Scar Mage[/scryfall], but there are no 1-drops thusfar from the new set, so it’s going to have to be much slower than it was previously. Which isn’t good. Still, maybe there’s something here.
New cards we have available to us include [scryfall]Goblin Electromancer[/scryfall], [scryfall]Ionize[/scryfall], [scryfall]Expansion // Explosion[/scryfall] nad [scryfall]Maximum Velocity[/scryfall]. In other words, not much so far. However, we’ll get more soon enough, but let’s work with what we have now.
[deck]
[creatures]
4 Adeliz, the Cinder Wind
4 Siren Stormtamer
4 Ghitu Lavarunner
4 Viashino Pyromancer
4 Goblin Electromancer
[/creatures]
[spells]
4 Shock
4 Lightning Strike
4 Wizard’s Lightning
4 Ionize
4 Opt
[/spells]
[lands]
4 Steam Vents
4 Sulfur Falls
6 Mountain
6 Island
[/lands]
[/deck]
There’s definitely other options, such as [scryfall]Dismissive Pyromancer[/scryfall], [scryfall]Exclusion Mage[/scryfall], [scryfall]Ghitu Journeymage[/scryfall], [scryfall]Merfolk Trickster[/scryfall], [scryfall]Siren Stormtamer[/scryfall],
The [scryfall]Goblin Electromancer[/scryfall] is not at it’s best here, because there’s only eight spells for it to make cheaper. We could lose it or we could switch [scryfall]Opt[/scryfall] for [scryfall]Anticipate[/scryfall], but I’m not sure that’s something you really want to do.
Does League Guildmage fit in this deck?
Without any testing, I would say perhaps as a sideboard option in grindy matchups, but I would guess there are better ones.
