Deck Time: UW Tempo

We know [scryfall]History of Benalia[/scryfall] is a good card, but what about other Sagas? Some of them are very strong in limited, at the very least, so why not try them in constructed.

You should never equate limited and constructed. They are very different formats, but if a card is very strong in limited, it probably has at leat potential in constructed. [scryfall]Pack Rat[/scryfall]. Need I say more?

Here’s another card that has been completely forgotten: [scryfall]Skyship Plunderer[/scryfall]. It says ‘permanent’. Sagas are permanents. So how does this work? Well, any time a counter is placed on the Saga, it triggers based on the number of counters it has (although it’s not important here, if more than one is placed on it at one time, all the steps it would trigger, trigger at the same time and you can choose the order they happen in – which is actually extremely hard to abuse and will usually just mess your own game up, for example if you give a third counter to [scryfall]Time of Ice[/scryfall] with your [scryfall]Skyship Plunderer[/scryfall], which just attacked).

The mana isn’t going to be good here, but here’s an idea anyhow:

[deck]
[creatures]
4 Skyship Plunderer
4 Daring Saboteur
4 Warkite Marauder
4 Glorybound Initiate
2 Kinjalli’s Sunwing
2 Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive
[/creatures]
[spells]
4 Unsummon
2 Spell Pierce
4 Time of Ice
4 History of Benalia
2 Jace, Cunning Castaway
[/spells]
[lands]
4 Glacial Fortress
4 Irrigated Farmland
10 Plains
6 Island
[/lands]
[/deck]

[scryfall]Merfolk Trickster[/scryfall] would be nice here, but the mana just isn’t very good, so let’s try and live without it. [scryfall]Paladin of Atonement[/scryfall] might be worth testing, but I doubt it would do very much.
