Rivals of Ixalan Brews, pt. 5 – BG Explore

This is probably way too slow against various energy decks, but this is probably the kind of deck I would enjoy playing.

We didn’t get many Explorers in the new set, but some… Well. Okay. We got [scryfall]Jadelight Ranger[/scryfall].

What else do we have?

Okay, that would be 20 altogether. Would that be enough?

We do also have various cards with synergies. Some more explicit than others.

Throw a set of [scryfall]Fatal Push[/scryfall]es and 24 lands on top of that and how’s that for a deck? Okay, throw in a couple of [scryfall]Treasure Map[/scryfall]s to round it out, because scrying is excellent here as well.

[deck]
[creatures]
4 Deadeye Tracker
4 Seekers’ Squire
4 Merfolk Branchwalker
4 Winding Constrictor
4 Wildgrowth Walker
4 Jadelight Ranger
4 Emperor’s Vanguard
4 Vizier of the Menagerie
[/creatures]
[spells]
Fatal Push
[/spells]
[lands]
4 Blooming Marsh
4 Foul Orchard
6 Swamp
8 Forest
[/lands]
[/deck]

[scryfall]Journey to Eternity[/scryfall] might be a nice addition as well. I’m also not quite sure how the explorers should affect the number of lands in the deck. Do you want less, because you can always dig to them easier, or do you want more, because you can always draw them with Explore and not really lose your regular draws. For now, I’m going with the former. The curve is also pretty low, so there shouldn’t be a problem here.
