Amonkhet Brews, pt. 4 – Exert

I’m guessing most of you have already noticed the synergy between Exert and [scryfall]ALways Watching[/scryfall]. Well, how about the hidden mode on [scryfall]Blessed Alliance[/scryfall]? Cards with options are always good. Now you have a third one to use.

I’m guessing [scryfall]Samut, Voice of Dissent[/scryfall] is something they cooked up for exactly decks like this, but if its competing for space with [scryfall]Glorybringer[/scryfall], then I don’t see how we can use it.

Right now we also have a problem with too few cards with Exert. We do have the aforementioned [scryfall]Glorybringer[/scryfall] and [scryfall]Glory-Bound Initiate[/scryfall], but after that… the green ones just don’t do it for me and bringing them in would definitely complicate the manabase, which is already quite strained with cards requiring double colors. There is [scryfall]Combat Celebrant[/scryfall], which does do something and I would definitely want to play it, even if it does sometimes (probably quite often) trade with [scryfall]Thraben Inspector[/scryfall].

Hopefully we’ll get some more good Exert cards, but until than I’ll fill this one with placeholders.
