Oath of the Gatewatch Brews, pt. 2 – Five-Color Legends

When [scryfall]Hero’s Blade[/scryfall] was spoiled earlier this year, there was some talk of using it in constructed. Mostly Modern, because of the depth of cheap legends, but somewhat in Standard. The thing is, we did get some great legends this summer…

… and there’s this:

stonehavenoutfitter

So, we’re just left with the question of what to use with these two?

Also, new cards [scryfall]Jori En, Ruin Diver[/scryfall] and [scryfall]Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet[/scryfall] would probably also work.

Seems to me that the most obvious way to go would be Mardu

The manabase is probably way off. Its pretty hard to play five colors and still be able to get either white or red untapped on turn one. Maybe [scryfall]Battlefield Forge[/scryfall] would be the answer, but seems clunky in a five color deck. Trying to play five colors will still probably destroy this whole thing. I’ve emphasized getting white mana on turn one, because Zurgo’s dash is very good in the later turns as well.
